I always enjoy attending FinCon. The financial content creators are fun, committed, and knowledgeable about how to give good financial information to the masses. The collaborations, business growth opportunities and all sessions helped me develop and grow my business each year. The people who attend, make the event is what I love the best.

"FinCon '21 schedule was full of informative sessions."

I appreciated how safe the city of Austin, TX made the conference by mandating masks inside the Convention Center. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. The schedule was full of informative sessions. The convention centre was close to downtown, so there was easy access to great restaurants!

Given the pandemic, I thought the event was very well managed. There was plenty to see and do (speakers, booths, keynotes, meetups, etc.) I also liked the social aspect and encouraging everyone to connect and explore the city together.

FinCon was great!
What did you like best about the event?
Networking with friends, clients, potential affiliate partners and my other fellow "money nerds".
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
My gripes are mostly COVID-related. A Lame closing event, limited in-person speakers, mask requirements. Could have been worse though! Overall I'm glad that we could have the in-person event at all.

A decent event, given the world around us.
What did you like best about the event?
The regular FinCon attendees were still there so it was great to reconnect with many familiar faces. Pro-Networking is always a highlight for me and while the masks were very uncomfortable, it was great overall.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The mix of virtual and in-person for pro-networking was weird, not sure if it's something we would want to have in place again in the future. Overall, the last day for the booth was dead, not sure there's anything you can do to improve that but a reason for people to stay and come see the vendors on the last day would have been nice.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I like the app, but I feel it could be a little better. Especially, with so many break-out sessions, they can get a bit buried under more general headlines. It would also be nice to be able to find people, sessions, etc easier by topic (i.e. FIRE, Real estate, etc.). Also, I like that you can tag people in the activity stream, but you can't tag them in follow-up comments (or like comments).

The schedule was full of informative sessions. The convention centre was close to downtown, so there was easy access to great restaurants!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
There wasn't the breadth of sessions that we've had in previous years, presumably due to COVID. The font on the name tags needs to be bigger so that we can see people's full names and companies more easily. There needed to be more water coolers and hand sanitization stations provided (we're still in the middle of a pandemic!)
